2021 Unsung Heroine Honorees
The E. Kathleen Cooke Foundation, Epsilon Lambda Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. held a virtual celebration on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11:00 am -1 pm via Easley Blessed Multimedia. The theme - Celebrating the Courage, Vision, and Tenacity of Women! The Unsung Heroine Scholarship Luncheon honored seven women within the Cincinnati community for their unheralded service in education, business, entrepreneurship, advocacy, civic leadership and social justice. The 2021 honorees include:

We were blessed with a powerful keynote speaker for the Unsung Heroine Luncheon, Founder, President & CEO of The Sister Accord Foundation…. Sonia Jackson Myles! Sonia is nationally known for her inspiring Design Your Destiny seminars! She now has now has hundreds of “Dreamwalkers” (Mentees) walking in purpose and Designing Their Destinies. She has received national recognition from Essence Magazine and Bloomberg Report’s “History Makers”. She made “HerStory” in the City of Cincinnati in 2016, as her Sister A.C.C.O.R.D. Leadership Development Program was integrated into the curriculum of The Cincinnati Public School System.
Sonia Jackson Myles
The luncheon is named in honor of E. Kathleen Cooke, a charter member of Epsilon Lambda Sigma Alumnae Chapter and advocate for public education. Ms. Cooke served the Cincinnati Public School system for over 30 years as a veteran teacher.
Proceeds benefit our scholarship program, which is awarded annually to college bound students, in addition to Operation Big Book Bag and Youth Symposium initiatives.
